BIOGRAPHY
"This alchemy between the voice in relation with the theatrical dimension that brings out the emotions. Opera is rock’n’roll. It’s on stage that I feel the happiest, alive and 200%. Opera is popular, timeless and addressed to everyone because it speaks of feelings and above all, of love!" Here are some phrases by Paloma, mezzo-soprano, to describe her vision of singing. They appear in an article from the Fontenay-sous-bois’s newspaper on the occasion of her show « Jeu de Dames » at the Espace Culturel Gérard Philipe.
Paloma has performed in places such as the Jardin
d’Acclimatation, the Four Seasons Hotel, the Société des Auteurs Compositeurs Dramatiques, the Grand Hotel Barrere Enghien or for the city of Val-de-Reuil.
Paloma is currently studying under Dr. Marianna Váradi and she is in her final year bachelor at the Royal Academy of Music where she was commended in the Elena Gerdhart Lieder Prize from the Vocal Recital Prize.
Paloma also won the bronze prize of the Virtuoso International Music Awards, the second prize of the MAP International Music Competition and the first prize of the Académie Internationale de Musique de Flaine.
Immersed in music since birth, Paloma studied the cello for 16 years at the Conservatoire de Fontenay-sous-bois and began lyrical singing at the age of 18 in Sophie Fournier’s class at the Conservatoire de Montreuil where she won the soloist competition « Est-Ensemble ». This gave her the opportunity to sing twice with an orchestra.
Paloma has also had the chance to work with singing teachers such as
Mireille Delunsch, Vincent Le Texier, Stephanie D’Oustrac…
Furthermore, Paloma took Alexander Technique lessons for 3 years with Christine Clicquot de Mentque and Paul Moore as well as acting lessons with Alain de Bock, Katherine Gabelle and Céline Le Coz.
